Spanish-speaking Latinx artists in New York City are welcome to apply to be part of Creative Capital’s free four-month career development program including planning, financial, fundraising, and promotion skills and tools. Applications are due July 31.
The Bridge 2019 Residency Open Call
Deadline: July 8, 2019
The Bridge is a four-month virtual residency program that provides a platform for cross-disciplinary collaboration between artists and scientists, open internationally to artists, scientists, technologists, and creative professionals. Each resident team will receive promotion on SciArt’s social media channels and appear in SciArt Magazine.
CatchLight Local Fellowship Open Call
San Fransisco, California
Deadline: July 10, 2019
A place-based visual storytelling program that connects visual storytelling with local newsrooms and community members, CatchLight Local Fellowship is open to applicants who work with visual communication. The program offers a $15,000 stipend, as well as project development and distribution opportunities from local newsroom partners.
Artivism Challenge Open Call
New York, New York
Deadline: July 12, 2019
Artists from around the world are encouraged to create a visual representation of the issues facing the forests for this open call. The winning works will be displayed in a pop-up exhibition in New York during Brazil Summer Fest 2019. Works will also be produced as prints and be sold through Alpha’s online art gallery and partners, with a share of the profits benefiting the Rain Forest Alliance.

Crystal Ruth Bell Residency

Individuals and duos who work with images are welcome to apply for a fully-funded, three-month residency at Three Shadows & Red Gate in Beijing and Xiamen. Funding includes a $510 material budget, a $1,000 travel budget, and a $1,080 stipend.
Residencia Corazón Open Call

Residencia Corazón is open to emerging and established artists from all disciplines within the visual arts, as well as to emerging and established writers and curators from all disciplines. Artists will have the opportunity to network with the local art community and cultural institutions, and to host individual exhibition or artist talks.

Knight Foundation Knight Arts Challenge 2019

Individual artist, artist collective, nonprofit organization and for-profit business are welcome to submit their idea for an arts project taken place in Miami. The challenge welcomes ideas from across diverse communities and in every genre. Winners will receive a share up to $2 million, as well as public exposure and professional skill-building.
Blueproject Foundation Artist Residency
Barcelona, Spain

Blueproject Foundation offers artists of all creative disciplines a one-month residency followed by an exhibition of the final work at Sala Project. Each resident will be given a €2,000 to €5,000 economic contribution.
CLTC Cybersecurity Arts Contest

The Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity is launching a contest that seeks artistic proposals that engage with cybersecurity in themes, topics, audience, and/or materials. Selected artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work throughout 2020 and win prizes range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $25,000.
Holly Weird Film Festival Call for Submission

Creative Capital Free Workshop Series for Spanish-Speaking Artists

Creative Capital’s Taller profesional para artistas is a free four-month career development program for Spanish-speaking Latinx artists in New York City. The program introduces artists of all disciplines to planning, financial, fundraising, and promotion skills and tools, building the capacity of each artist to reach their creative goals, strengthen their communities, and develop thriving careers.
Silver Art Projects Open Call

Silver Art Projects provides a preserved space on the 50th floor of 3 World Trade Center for artists to create projects and engage with new audiences, while building the creative culture of the Lower Manhattan community. Artists will have the opportunity to partner with cultural institutions and brands on future programming.
The Diversity Development Fund
Deadline: July 31, 2019
The Diversity Development Fund provides up to $15,000 in research and development funding to producers of color to develop single documentary programs for public television. Funded activities may include travel, research, script development, preliminary production for fundraising/work-in-progress reels, or other early phase activities.
NXTHVN Studio Fellowship
New Haven, Connecticut

NXTHVN offers six early-career artists a professional studio space and a $25,000 stipend during the Fellowship year. The program also includes critique sessions, professional development workshops, access to the Yale University Library and Art Gallery, and a group exhibition in the NXTHVN Gallery.
Strange Foundation Decelerator Residency

The Decelerator program is a short-term residency/retreat hybrid in New York’s Catskill Mountains for individuals or collaborative groups of up to 3 people. It offers free lodging in fully-equipped spaces, access to abundant nature, and on-site 1:1 mentorship sessions.
Yaddo Artist Residency

Frieze Writer’s Prize 2019

The annual Frieze Writer’s Prize recognizes emerging writers dedicated to new, imaginative writing about art and culture. The winner of the prize is commissioned to write a review for Frieze and awarded £2,000.
Recharge Foundation Fellowship for New Surrealist Art

The Recharge Foundation Fellowship for New Surrealist Art offers a $5,000 award for painters living in the United States and U.S. Territories who are working in the New Surrealist style.
SAADA Archival Creators Fellowship

Fellows will partner with SAADA to create archival collections that reflect the histories and perspectives of the most marginalized groups within the South Asian American community. The program offers each fellow a $8,000 stipend, a $2,000 project budget, and a $1,000 event budget.
National Endowment for the Humanities Media Production Grants

The Production Grants program supports the production and distribution of documentary film, television, radio, and podcast projects that engage general audiences with humanities ideas in creative and appealing ways.
NPAF U.S. Veterans Residency at Gettysburg National Military Park

International artist groups are welcome to apply for the residency for the production of dance, theater, circus, and performance projects up to a maximum of three weeks. The program offers full board for the group of artists, travel expenses subsidy, and a public presentation of the project at the end of the production period.
The CrossCurrents Fund

The CrossCurrents Fund supports interactive, short, or feature-length documentary projects made by filmmakers from, and telling the stories of, underrepresented and marginalized communities from around the world. Project funding support will include $10,000 CAD for one short or interactive film and up to $30,000 CAD for up to three feature films.
Laboratory Residency Open Call

Laboratory is looking for artists to create a work that will evoke in-depth, interactive feelings through sound, touch, taste, or visuals. Artists may apply to one of the three tracks, including production, research, and learning.
NPAF Death Valley Residency for Photographers

The National Parks Arts Foundation invites photographers to participate in this Dark Sky Photography program at one of the most ideal locations for astrophotography. Resident photographers are welcome to give public presentations, workshops, or lectures during their residency. Each resident will receive a $1,000 stipend.
Aesthetic Art Prize

The Aesthetic Art Prize offers both emerging and established artists the opportunity to showcase their work to a wider audience and further their engagement with the international art world. Awardees will receive £1,000 to £5,000 in prize money, publication in the Future Now Annual, and an opportunity take part in a group exhibition.
Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts Residency

Bemis residency opportunities are open to national and international artists showing a strong professional working history. In addition to studio spaces, artists will have access to Bemis Center’s main facility and the Okada Sculpture & Ceramics Facility, a large-scale sculpture fabrication space and workshop.
Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant

Do you have an unanticipated opportunity to present your work? Did you incur an unexpected expense that you didn’t budget for? The Foundation for Contemporary Arts offers Emergency Grants between $200 and $2,500 for visual and performing artists. They review applications once a month, so you can quickly take advantage of momentum or solve any budget errors.
Gottlieb Emergency Grant Program

This emergency grant provides financial assistance to painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs are the result of an unforeseen incident, and who lack the resources to meet that situation.
