Grants to individual artists may be underwritten for a set term or permanently endowed through an outright gift or bequest.

– Creative Capital Awards of $50,000 are selected by discipline: Visual Arts, Dance, Theater, Jazz/Music, Film, Poetry, Fiction, Nonfiction.
– State of the Art Prizes of $10,000 are selected by U.S. states, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.

Gifts to the endowment can be dedicated to specific programs to provide support in perpetuity. Gifts of unrestricted endowment can be used most flexibly, as they reduce the dependence on annual fundraising to meet costs. These funds provide long-term support for all aspects of Creative Capital’s operating budget.
