Grant Writing & Promoting Your Practice

In the Artist Lab course Representing Your Work: Grant Writing & Promoting Your Practice, participants will learn how to write artist bios, artist statements, CVs, and project proposals in order to help artists build the fundamental frameworks for their careers. It also guides artists in creating project budgets, submitting grant applications, and documenting and archiving their practice. Tips on how to promote work on social media and low-stress networking are also covered.
This course consists of ten modules, which are asynchronous, meaning that all content is written and/or prerecorded, and that you can move through each module at your own pace.

- Develop working drafts of materials needed to apply for most grants, residencies, and other professional opportunities, including the Creative Capital grant. Sample materials include an artist statement, artist biography, budget, timeline, work samples, and captions.
