Experience the world premiere of Dance Suite from Lili’u, a collaboration between finalist for the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in Music Leilehua Lanzilotti (2025 Creative Capital Awardee) and acclaimed choreographer Anthony Aiu, as part of an evening of music, dance, and poetry at TATOU FEST—an international cultural gathering created for and by Pacific Islanders.

Dance Suite from Liliʻu draws its music and inspiration from the experimental opera project, Liliʻu, by Leilehua Lanzilotti connecting performance, community activations, and indigenous language revitalization. The work features Te Ao Mana choreographed by Anthony Aiu, with music by Leilehua Lanzilotti. By world-building through multimedia installation works and nontraditional performance experiences/musical interventions, Lanzilotti’s works activate imagination around new paths forward in language sovereignty, water sovereignty, land stewardship, and respect.

Other sets on the evening will include: Auē Away by Dan Tualapapa McMullin, and a performance by T.J. Keanu Tario.
