Since our founding in 1999, Creative Capital continues to:

Power innovation. We stand by artists who dare to experiment, challenge the status quo, and illuminate critical issues, such as climate change, mass incarceration, gender equity, and reproductive justice. More than 75 percent of recent grantees identify as Black, Indigenous, Asian, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, women, and artists with disabilities.

Build capacity. We nurture artistic careers through our robust network of industry connections, peer mentorship, and community building programs. Our Artist Opportunities listings and new, free Creative Capital Curriculum serve more than 250,000 artists annually.

Fuel impact. We have awarded $55 million in grants and services to over 900 artists creating groundbreaking new work and who have gone on to build thriving practices, build their own businesses, acquire gallery spaces and real estate, and give back to local communities in meaningful ways.

Your support to Creative Capital provides critical funds and services for underserved, risk-taking artists in the visual arts, performing arts, film/moving image, technology, literature, multidisciplinary, and socially engaged forms. See our Fiscal Year 2023 Supporters.
