Asphalt is an evening-length dance theater work, with music by composer Toshi Reagon and text by spoken word artist Carl Hancock Rux. Asphalt tells the story of Racine, an aspiring DJ who uses the elements of jazz, classical, and trip hop beats to transcend his urban reality and enter a world made right by music.
