Dana McCormick is a writer, composer, and pianist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is working on her first novel and an accompanying soundscape, and a non-fiction book about the interaction of community, police, violence, and the legal system in suburban Milwaukee.

Dana McCormick was educated at Interlochen Arts Academy, the Eastman School of Music, and the University of Chicago, in music composition and piano performance. Her music has been performed in Cleveland, Chicago, California, Texas, and Wisconsin. She is currently focusing her creative energies on writing a novel and creating a soundscape for it. She is also working on a multimedia project that examines local community relationships with the police and legal system. She founded and operated the MKE Good Food Bus for three seasons, connecting local farmers with underserved urban neighborhoods.
