Supported by the 2023 Creative Capital Award, El Mundo es Niña premieres at Time Square Arts in New York City on September 23, 2026. 

El Mundo es Niña is the premiere of a new live performance and installation by interdisciplinary artist duo LIZN’BOW (2023 Creative Capital Awardees), presented as the centerpiece of the artists’ largest project to date: a month-long transformation of Times Square into Niñalandia. Created and performed through LIZN’BOW’s feminist reggaeton band Niña, the live work reclaims one of Latin America’s most influential popular genres as a space for queer joy, cultural resistance, humor, and collective celebration.
