What should you say, and ask, when speaking with a lawyer? For creative professionals, engaging legal help can be both empowering and intimidating. In this Creative Capital Artist Lab Live Session, attorney and Counsel for Creators co-founder Chuong Bui will share practical strategies for how to communicate effectively with legal professionals at every stage of the relationship.

From the first consultation (what to ask, what to clarify, and how to assess fit) to working together long-term, this session will explore how to align on goals, set clear expectations around deadlines and billing, and build a collaborative dynamic that supports your creative work. Attendees will leave with a stronger understanding of how to advocate for their needs, ask better questions, and feel more confident in every legal conversation.
