Blacktronika is a movement dedicated to honoring and illuminating innovators of color who have played a pivotal role in the evolution of electronic music. The Harlem showcase will feature Vijay Iyer (2002 Awardee) and the group Black Quantum Futurism consisting of Moor Mother and Rasheedah Phillips (2022 Awardees).

Black Quantum Futurism is an interdisciplinary creative practice, formed in 2014 by Camae Ayewa and Rasheedah Phillips, weaving quantum physics, afrofuturism, and Afrodiasporic concepts of time, space, ritual, and sound to create practical ways to escape negative temporal loops, oppression vortexes, and the digital matrix.
