Miranda July is a multi-media and video artist. Her work has been screened and presented at numerous venues and festivals in the United States and Europe including The Kitchen, The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis; The Wexner Center for the Arts in Ohio; The Rotterdam Film Festival; Vienna’s Viennalle; and VIPER in Lucerne, Switzerland. July has also recorded her performances for the Kill Rock Stars and Horse Kitty record labels. Among her awards are the Main and Jury Prizes at the 2001 Oberhausen Short Film Festival in Germany, a 2000 Individual Artist Fellowship from the Oregon Arts Commission, and a 1997 Andrea Frank Foundation grant.

Artist BioHarrell Fletcher has worked collaboratively and individually on a variety of socially engaged, interdisciplinary projects for over a decade.
Artist BioBoth an art project and community-building tool, the Learning To Love You More website offers tasks for viewers to complete, archive the results of completed assignments, and provide a forum for viewers to communicate directly with the artists and each other. This project is based on the hypothesis that people want to help each other and become more engaged with their communities. Examples of possible assignments include: “Make your own pair of shoes, wear them for a day” and “Start a month-long lecture series in your living room, and publicize it.” Participants are asked to send in documentation of their projects to be posted on the website, while another area of the site describes real issues that participants are facing in their lives with a mechanism by which other participants can offer solutions.

Harrell Fletcher has worked collaboratively and individually on a variety of socially engaged, interdisciplinary projects for over a decade. His work has been shown at SF MoMA, the de Young Museum, The Berkeley Art Museum, and Yerba Buena Center For The Arts in the San Francisco Bay Area; The Drawing Center, Socrates Sculpture Park, The Sculpture Center, The Wrong Gallery, and Smackmellon in NYC; DiverseWorks and Aurora Picture show in Houston, TX; PICA in Portland, OR; CoCA and The Seattle Art Museum in Seattle, WA; Signal in Malmo, Sweden; Domain de Kerguehennec in France; and The Royal College of Art in London. Fletcher exhibits in San Francisco and Los Angeles with Jack Hanley Gallery, in NYC with Christine Burgin Gallery, in London with Laura Bartlett Gallery, and Paris with Gallery In Situ. Fletcher is a professor of art at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.
