John Jasperse lives & works in New York City. He has created several shorter works & 12 evening-length works including Prone, Becky, Jodi, John and Misuse liable to prosecution. John Jasperse Company has presented at festivals and presenting organizations in the U.S., Brazil, Chile, Israel, Japan and Europe. He has created commissioned works for Baryshnikov’s White Oak Dance Project, Batsheva Dance Company and the Lyon Opera Ballet. Jasperse’s work has been awarded several prestigious awards, including a New York Dance and a Bessie Award. His work has been supported by fellowships from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, the Lambent Fellowship in the Arts, John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts and New York Foundation for the Arts.
