Inspired by Alexis de Tocqueville’s 1835 book Democracy in America, Victor Payan and Pocha Peña’s (2019 Awardees) Creative Capital project Dreamocracy in America activates voters across the nation with the video game VOTOS LOCOS, a conversation series with leading artists and activists, and even lucha libre. Celebrate the culmination of their project at this critical election moment at a free event on November 1, 2024 in San Antonio, TX that will include a video game lounge, art exhibit, poetry, live lucha libre and DJ Rolas y Ranflas.
