Experience works by Trajal Harrell (2013 Awardee), winner of the Biennale’s Silver Lion this year. Harrell brings two emotional works to the international convening. Sister or He Buried the Body is a searingly personal solo, while Tambourines, a raw and stripped back version of The Scarlet Letter, sees Harrell’s extraordinary company dive into themes of race, gender, and politics in colonial America.
