Art Law for Artists: Copyright, Contracts, & Business Entity Formation, with Ben Kerr
In this three-part online workshop series, Benjamin Kerr of Kerr Law Firm will explore the most common law questions artists should know. Kerr will discuss basic principles and provide an overview of contract law, negotiations, business entity formation, and fundamental terms and enforcement with an emphasis on practical applications for artists in the real world. The workshop is appropriate for individual artists working in any genre and at any point in their careers.

Workshop Dates

In between these sessions, participants will have access to an online forum where they can stay in touch, share information and resources, and build community outside of the class sessions.
Additional one-on-one consultations
After the workshop series concludes, participants will be given the opportunity to sign up for an additional one-on-one consultation with Ben Kerr. Consultations are 45-minutes long and take place by phone or video conference. The price is $90. 15 sessions will be made available.
Recordings
This online workshop series will be recorded. The recordings will be shared with all registered participants after the workshop concludes, regardless of whether a participant attends the live workshop. The recordings will be available online to registrants indefinitely; they are not available for download.
About Ben Kerr
Mr. Kerr has extensive experience advising clients in a wide variety of practice areas including contract drafting, negotiation and review, entertainment law, business formation, intellectual property, real estate, landlord/tenant law, corporations and partnerships, and wills and estates.
