Pioneer Works Visual Arts Residency
Brooklyn, New York
Deadline: September 30, 2018
Pioneer Works offers visual artists six-month residencies in their newly renovated studios with curatorial visits, access to their VR lab, music studio, dark room, print lab, and more.

This residency welcomes writers, and artists who make two-dimensional work to stay at their Inn for a no-cost five day stay between January and March.

The Barbara Hammer Lesbian Experimental Filmmaking Grant
Deadline: October 1, 2018
The Barbara Hammer Lesbian Experimental Filmmaking Grant is an annual grant worth $5,000 awarded to self-identified lesbians for making visionary moving-image art. Work can be experimental animation, experimental documentary, experimental narrative, cross-genre, or solely experimental.

Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Workspace Residency
Buffalo, New York

The film center offers artists and researchers a short-term residency with accessibility to their equipment, tools, and technologies. The program supports artists with a $950 stipend plus travel budget, and it is open to collaborations and families.

Mabou Mines Performance Residency

The Artist Commissioning Program awards Queens-based choreographers, playwrights, and composers $10,000 each towards the creation of a new, original work.

Flux Factory Residency

Flux Factory is looking for all kinds of cultural producers to join their community for three, six, nine, or twelve month residencies. Flux Factory nurtures individual practices by offering professional development opportunities, including one-on-one studio visits, group field trips, and monthly salons.

Padre Island, Texas

This residency offers free accommodation on the island to writers, painters, sculptors, composers, cinematographers, and other visual and performing artists. The program welcomes the artist to bring a guest.

Printed Matter Emerging Artists Publication Call for Submission
Deadline: October 21, 2018
Printed Matter has an open call for submissions to help early career artists realize their book projects. Artists receive a fee of $1,500, plus 5% of the edition.

Eva Yaa Asantewaa Grant for Queer Women(+) Dance Artists
Deadline: October 21, 2018
This is a new $10,000 grant for US-based artists for making cutting-edge dance and movement-based performance work. Queer|Art, who administers the grant, strongly encourages self-identified women, gender-nonconforming, and non-binary artists to apply.

One of the premier Fellowships for socially-engaged artists, A Blade of Grass has a new open application period. In addition to receiving $20,000 in support, artists will participate in a retreat, networking events, and more.
