Washoe County Art Trail/Burning Man Open Call
Washoe County, Nevada
Deadline: December 18, 2017
Washoe County and Burning Man Project have teamed up to create a new art work at two trailheads in the area. The call is open to artists, collaborations, community groups working with designers, architects, and place-making experts. The opportunity comes with a significant budget between $60,000 and $100,000.

Windgate ITE International Residency
Philadelphia, PA

The Center for Art in Wood is looking for international applicants at the beginning of their careers: one photojournalist, one scholar/educator and five artists who work with wood. The fellowship offers a $400 weekly stipend, travel and housing and supplies for art-making.

Atelier LUMA Open Call
Arles, France

Based at the Parc des Ateliers in Arles, atelier LUMA creates new and sustainable ways of using the natural and cultural resources of the bioregion. They are looking to work with a resident for up to one year to further their research on topics like waste, healthy mobility, circular education and more. Designers, architects, engineers, researchers and other practitioners are invited to apply.

Harvestworks New Works Residency Program
New York, NY

This residency is open to American artists and permanet residents, and it comes with commissions of up to $5,000. It’s a perfect for artists creating new works in technology, engineering, and music fields. Proposed projects should explore new aesthetic premises.

SPACE on Ryder Farms
Brewster, New York

SPACE is committed to giving artists the space and time to create. With that in mind, the only requirements of their residency is that artists participate in three communal meals each day. The program fully funds half of the artists who have applied.

New Mexico

The National Park Arts Foundation has three open residencies in National Parks across the state of New Mexico: Chaco Culture, Aztec Ruins, and Fort Union. The one-month residency is open to individual artist or couples.

Bernheim Artist Residency
Clermont, Kentucky
Deadline: January 14, 2018
Bernheim is looking for artists who will reinforce their mission to “connect people with nature.” Their residency provides living quarters within the Bernheim forest, a $2,500 stipend, and studio space in exchange for a site-specific sculpture, project, or exhibition.

Little Tokyo Service Center

The Little Tokyo Service Center has announced its inaugural three-month artist residency open to California-based artists. Residents will receive a $4,000 monthly stipend, a sizable project budget, and have significant contact with and support from local cultural organizations.

The BRIClab residency program is open to artists in Brooklyn and New York City workin in music, dance, theater and multi-disciplinary performance. Artists receive $1750, technical support, and two work-in-progress showings.

ArtCenter South Florida Art in Public Life Residency
Miami Beach, Florida

Miami Beach is a city that is already vulnerable to sea level rise due to climate change. ArtCenter South Florida offers a chance for artists address this dire situation through a year-long residency in Miami, with a $25,000 stipend, $7,500 in production fees and free housing.

Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Workspace
New York, New York

LMCC’s nine-month residency is open to artists of all disciplines, and it comes with a stipend, 24-hour access to their studio facilities, and community building and professional development opportunities.

This residency in Good Hart, Michigan, offers 2-3 week residencies to dedicated visual artists and writers. The residency provides a live/work studio space, food, a $500 stipend, and a quiet setting to concentrate on creative work. The residency works in partnership with several local community organizations.
