Photo Gallery: Tequila Herradura Sponsors Spanish-Language Workshop with Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs
On February 8, Creative Capital hosted a Spanish-Language Workshop in Los Angeles with the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs as our partner and with the generous support of Tequila Herradura. In our Core Curriculum for Spanish-speaking artists, we focus on strategic planning for artists of all disciplines as well as the basics of budgeting, promotion and verbal communications.
The workshop is designed to empower each artist to build a more sustainable practice, with the larger goal of strengthening the Los Angeles artistic community as a whole. Participant Isabel Ramirez wrote, “The workshop has been really motivating. I am particularly happy to have met you all and I hope that this is the beginning of a long-term partnership that keeps us united.”
Artist Julieta Ortiz told us that the day will act as a catalyst to her career, adding, “There are days that just pass by without leaving a mark, and others, like last Saturday, in which so many things happen that you need some time to assimilate everything and, if you allow it, it can be a turning point in your life. May it be so!”
Thank you to Tequila Herradura, the Los Angeles Deptartment of Cultural Affairs and our incredible workshop leaders, Ela Troyano and Angela Reginato! To learn more about bringing a Professional Development Program workshop to your city, visit our website.
