OVERVIEW OF Workshop OFFERINGS

Dread Scott leads an Internet for Artists workshop
The Professional Development Program (PDP) offers a range of workshops to assist artists in their careers, developing professional skills and leveraging opportunities for advancement. By presenting the workshops in partnership with arts organizations across the country, PDP has reached more than 4,000 artists nationwide.
All PDP workshops focus on creating a strategy for the individual artist’s career that will bring success to that person as he or she defines it. Exercises in goal setting and strategic planning help participants create that definition free from judgment and pressure. This process is the hallmark of the PDP experience.
PDP offers workshops that teach the Core Curriculum of business skills, fundraising, marketing and PR; verbal communications; and maximizing online impact. PDP also offers a version of its Core Curriculum in Spanish and monthly online learning opportunities for individual artists. It is possible to tailor the in-person workshops to specific areas of interest or need, to best suit a partner organization's mission and vision for the artists it serves. More topics are in development.
