How To Apply

Creative Capital helps artists realize specific projects while building their capacity to sustain their careers for the long-term.

To be eligible to apply for Creative Capital, an artist must be:

U.S. citizenA U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident

25 years oldAt least 25 years old

five years experienceA working artist with at least five years professional experience

not a full-time studentNot a full-time student

Applications for Emerging Fields, Performing Arts and Literature projects accepted (deadline was March 1, 2012)

2013
Emerging Fields, Performing Arts and Literature awards announced

2014
Follow-up work with artists – no new awards
Applications for Moving Image (formerly Film/Video) and Visual Arts projects accepted February 3-28

2015
Moving Image and Visual Arts awards announced
Applications for Emerging Fields, Performing Arts and Literature projects accepted February 2 - March 2

2016
Emerging Fields, Performing Arts and Literature awards announced

2017
Follow-up work with artists – no new awards

2018
Capstone Period (follow-up work with artists and evaluation of program)
Applications for Moving Image and Visual Arts projects accepted February 1-28
