Franconia Fellowship
Shafer, Minnesota

This fellowship supports mid-career artists working in sculpture and installation, including land art, ceramics, contemporary craft, experimental sound/music, and performance art. Fellows are provided a $7500 stipend to fabricate and install work for exhibition in the 50-acre outdoor sculpture park.
Franconia Writers Residency
Shafer, Minnesota

Seven accomplished writers will receive a stipend, full room & board, and a two-week residency at the 50-acre outdoor sculpture park. This residency is open to curators, poets, songwriters, playwrights, writers (fiction or nonfiction), artists centered on contemporary cultural arts and theory, and academics on sabbatical.
Keshet Makers Space Experience

Corsicana Artist & Writer Residency

100 West – Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency advances the production and presentation of new work and ideas by an international community of artists and writers. Two artists and one writer will be provided with private studios and sleeping accommodations. $200 administration fee for accepted applicants.
Uncommon Art Residency
Jackson, Wyoming

This residency, next to Grand Teton National Park, provides artists with 1-3 weeks of complimentary accommodations at The Anvil Hotel; a $200/week stipend; $200 in dining credits at Glorietta Trattoria; and access to shared studio spaces for ceramics, printmaking, and photography. In exchange, each artist offers a public talk and/or demonstration.
Lower East Side Printshop Keyhold Residency

Lower East Side Printshop offers emerging artists free year-long studio residencies to develop new work. Printmaking facilities are available for intaglio, relief, monotype, and waterbased screenprinting. Residents receive a $1,000 stipend, free career development workshops, and more.
OneBeat Music Residency

OneBeat is accepting applications for their arts exchange programs set to run in the spring and fall 2023. OneBeat will bring a total of 50 musicians (ages 19-35) drawn from up to 50 countries from around the world to the Southern U.S. for one month to collaboratively write, produce, and perform original music, and develop strategies for arts-based social engagement.
CPR – Center for Performance Research Artist Residency
Brooklyn, New York

This year-long residency seeks to support artists working within various perspectives of contemporary dance and performance, and time-based forms. Residents receive 150 subsidized rehearsal hours in the facility studios, curatorial support, access to equipment and production resources, a $1,000 stipend, and more.
The Civic Practice Partnership

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Civic Practice Partnership (CPP), is a two-year artist-in-residence program for socially engaged New York City artists and art collectives. The residency comes with a $20,000/year honorarium, a $20,000/year project production budget, and more.
Joyce Awards
Deadline: September 7, 2022
This award is open to innovative new projects by pioneering artists of color spanning the visual, performing, and multidisciplinary arts that engage diverse communities in Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Minneapolis-St. Paul. The commissioning organization receives $75,000—at least $25,000 of which is dedicated for an artist stipend.
NYC Mural Arts Project

Brooklyn Community Services is seeking applications from muralists to work on the NYC Mural Arts Project. The program uses a collaborative mural-making process as a tool to raise awareness and eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness. Three selected artists will receive a $20,000 honorarium on a deliverables-based contract.
MacDowell Fellowship

Artists with professional standing in their fields, as well as emerging artists, are eligible to apply for a MacDowell Fellowship. Applications are accepted from artists from all backgrounds and all countries in the following disciplines: architecture, film/video arts, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theatre, and visual arts.
Boston Center for the Arts Playwright Residency

Golden Foundation Artist Residency

This residency program provides artists working in paint with the opportunity to work with dozens of unique materials and technologies. All artists accepted into the residency program receive a generous supply of paint materials and technical support. A $250 refundable deposit is required to hold your spot once selected.
Manhattan Art Grants

LMCC’s Manhattan Arts Grants have supported Manhattan-based artists, arts groups, and community-focused organizations in sharing rich arts activities with the public. These grants are worth up to $10,000 for presentations that respond to the current needs of our local communities and amplify the cultural breadth and identity of our city.
Princeton Arts Fellowship

This fellowship is open to early career artists whose achievements have been recognized as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching. Princeton Arts Fellows spend two consecutive academic years at Princeton University. An $88,000/year stipend is provided.
Laundromat Project Create Change Residency

This program supports the development of participatory and community-attuned creative projects by New York City artists of color between 21-30 years old working within their communities. The residency offers a $15,000 honorarium and up to $10,000 in project production.
Beauchamp Prize in Critical Art Writing

Gulf Coast Magazine is accepting submissions for the Beauchamp Prize. Entries should be a single piece of critical art writing, written (or published) within the last year. A variety of creative approaches and formats to writing on the visual arts are encouraged, including thematic essays, exhibition reviews, and scholarly essays. The prizes range from $1,000-$3,000.
The Dots Between
Deadline: September 15, 2022
The Dots Between is a financial coaching program for artists who are motivated to address their financial practices, nurture their relationship with money, and establish the structures that will support their long term fiscal growth. The program is administered virtually for six-months and offered at no cost for artists of any medium and career stage.
Monson Arts Residency

This residency at the edge of Maine’s North Woods supports emerging and established visual artists, photographers, and writers. They receive a private studio, private bedroom in shared housing, all meals, and $1,000 stipend ($500 for 2-week programs). Application fee: $25.
Bloedel Reserve Creative Residency
Bainbridge Island, Washington

This residency is open to professional and emerging artists, composers, writers, botanists, landscape architects, researchers, and others exploring the themes of nature and the human connection with nature. This cross-seasonal day residency does not provide housing and is intended for people who live nearby, giving them the opportunity to may write, draw, and paint on the grounds. A $1,000 stipend will be provided.
Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) Residency

National and international writers, visual artists, and composers can apply for time and space to work in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Fellows are provided with a private individual studio, a private bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and three meals a day. Application fee: $30.
Creative Residency at the Hambidge Center

This residency located on 600 acres in the north Georgia mountains is open to visual artists, writers, dancers, musicians, ceramicists, arts & cultural administrators, and creative thinkers of all kinds. Each resident is provided a private studio & living space, with communal meals four nights a week. Financial aid and fellowships are available. Application fee: $30.
Foundwork Artist Prize

The Foundwork Artist Prize is an annual juried grant that we award to recognize outstanding practices by emerging and mid-career artists working in any media. The prize provides one honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant.
Pioneer Works Open Call

San Francisco International Film Festival

Grand Canyon Artist in Residence Program
Grand Canyon, Arizona

This residency provides an artist with fully furnished accommodations in the historic Verkamp’s artist residence directly overlooking the Grand Canyon, and a stipend of $2,500 for eight weeks. The program is designed to support artists with a well-developed body of work that engages themes tied to conservation, cultural identity, and community. Application fee: $45.
Bennett Prize

The Bennett Prize is a stipend/grant-in-aid program that supports the fine art practice of a woman painter working in figurative realism. The prize, administered by The Pittsburgh Foundation, provides $25,000 annually over two consecutive years and a solo exhibition to the winning artist. A runner up will be awarded $10,000.
McMillen Foundation Grants Program

Washington state based organizations with a focus on medical research and/or social enhancement are invited to apply for this grant. The medical research program is centered on research on cardiology, lipids, and organ transplant. The social enhancement program is for organizations with an art-related mission.

Women’s Studio Workshop Ora Schneider Regional Residency Grant

The grant is a month-long residency for artists residing in Greene, Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, and Orange counties. Priority will be given to artists with experience and a working knowledge of etching, intaglio, or monoprint; letterpress; papermaking; screenprinting; photography; or ceramics. Two artists will be provided a $1500 stipend and 24/7 studio access.
Stochastic Labs Summer Residency

The Foundation for Contemporary Arts offers Emergency Grants between $500 and $3,000 for experimental artists. They review applications once a month, so you can quickly take advantage of momentum or solve any budget errors.
Gottlieb Emergency Grant Program

This emergency grant provides financial assistance to painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs are the result of an unforeseen incident, and who lack the resources to meet that situation.
Eyebeam Center for the Future of Journalism

The Eyebeam Center for the Future of Journalism (ECFJ) is a grant-making program that supports artists producing innovative and revelatory journalistic work for major media outlets. Grant support will range from $500 to $5,000.
Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund

The Adobe Creative Residency program supports creators of visual digital work, offering grants of $500–$5,000 for either a portfolio project or a paid Adobe project commission.
Awesome Foundation On the Water Grant
Deadline: rolling basis
This grant awards $1,000 per month to a water-focused project that brings creativity, culture, and inclusion to the water or provides a new way of thinking about the water. Applicants can be based anywhere in the world.
