Experience films directed by Reid Davenport (2021 Awardee), and Cherien Dabis (2015 Awardee), produced by Jamie Gonçalves (2022 Awardee), and acted in by Kaneza Schaal (2016 Awardee) at this year’s Sundance Film Festival!

Davenport’s Life After follows a disabled Californian woman named Elizabeth Bouvia who sought the “right to die,” igniting a national debate about autonomy, dignity, and the value of disabled lives. In Dabis’s All That’s Left of You, the mother of a Palestinian teen that confronted Israeli soldiers at a West Bank protest recounts the series of events that led him to that fateful moment. Predatorsproduced by Jamie Gonçalves, is an exploration of the popular television show To Catch A Predator’s rise and fall. BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions weaves together the journeys of W. E. B. Du Bois, Joseph’s own family legacy, and a mysterious young journalist who boards an International cruise liner, the Nautica, to cover the Transatlantic Biennial while cleverly staying undercover, and features a performance by Kaneza Schaal.
