Learn how artists can apply for the Creative Capital Award valued at $100,000, including $50,000 in project funding, and an additional $50,000 in career development services—all dedicated to supporting artists complete their innovative project ideas. The application, opening February 2020, is free and open to artists working in all disciplines across the country.

Creative Capital staff will present an overview of the organization and answer questions about the application process, the type of work we support, and how to apply. The session is free and open to the public—artists in all disciplines are encouraged to attend. For this session, we will be joined by Gaye Chan, an awardee and interdisciplinary artist.

About Gaye Chan:

Gaye is active in Honolulu as an artist, curator and educator. She has had solo exhibitions and installations presented at Art in General (New York City), Articule (Montreal), Artspeak (Vancouver), Asia Society (New York City), Gallery 4A (Sydney), Honolulu Museum of Art (Honolulu), SF Camerawork (San Francisco), Southern Exposure (San Francisco), and YYZ Artist Outlet (Toronto). She received a 1998 artist fellowship from the Hawaii State Foundation for Arts and Culture, a 1996 National Endowment for the Arts Regional Fellowship, and Art Matters award in 2015.
