“I just need more money” isn’t a business plan, even though it can seem like the simplest solution to financial woes. In this workshop, we’ll focus on the portfolio career framework—that is, earning income from a variety of activities—to match your own strengths with opportunities to monetize those strengths. And we will set you on a path to diversifying your income by:

  • Identifying the components of a portfolio career
  • Listing opportunities that fall within each role
  • Learning to navigate challenges within each role
  • Sharing examples of portfolio careers in action

This workshop is for artists of all disciplines who earn or aim to earn income from multiple income streams. It will be conducted via Zoom webinar and include opportunities for individual reflection and group sharing. All registrants will receive a recording of the workshop and workshop resources, including an income-planning worksheet.

Elaine Grogan Luttrull

Elaine Grogan Luttrull is the Founder of Minerva Financial Arts, a company devoted to increasing business and financial literacy in artists and arts organizations through education and counseling. Elaine works one-on-one with clients and leads workshops across the country. She holds a Master of Accountancy, a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Economics. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Financial Therapy and she holds both CPA-PFS and AFC licenses. She lives in Columbus, Ohio where she serves on the boards of the Short North Alliance, Healing Broken Circles, and the Lark Play Development Center.
