Amitis Motevalli’s (2020 Awardee) Roses by Other Names is a web database that honors the many women, girls, and femmes that have died in conflicts in South, Central, and West Asia, as well as North and East Africa. Most commonly victims of war without agency, the project reclaims and renames roses after these martyrs.
