For the first time ever, the Creative Capital Artist Retreat will be virtual from June 23 and 24, 2021! This year we will honor the retreat’s legacy of a unique, multidisciplinary convening centered around thoughtful exchange, curiosity, and generosity. Through our virtual event, we will celebrate and foreground the forward-thinking ideas of Creative Capital Awardees, featuring more than 70 presentations by artists on their works in progress, including Legacy Russell, Jesse Krimes, Sandy Rodriguez, and Will Rawls. In addition, we will have cocktails on both evenings hosted by distinguished arts patrons and artists, including Edgar Arceneaux, Cassils, Hasan Elahi, Larissa FastHorse, Annie Han, Jae Rhim Lee, Lorraine O’Grady, Stephen Reily, Paul Rucker, and Fred Wilson.

Creative Capital supporters are invited to attend the retreat at a level of $5,000+. 100% of the donations for this year’s Artist Retreat will be designated for direct grant support to Creative Capital Awardees.
