Artadia Awards
Atlanta, Georgia
Deadline: October 1, 2022

The Artadia Awards provide contemporary visual artists living or working in Atlanta with financial support and exposure. Three artists will receive unrestricted funds of $10,000, and one artist will receive the Marciano Artadia Award of $25,000. Honorariums will also be provided to Finalists.

Bennett Prize
Deadline: October 7, 2022

The Bennett Prize is a stipend/grant-in-aid program that supports the fine art practice of a woman painter working in figurative realism. The prize, administered by The Pittsburgh Foundation, provides $25,000 annually over two consecutive years and a solo exhibition to the winning artist. A runner up will be awarded $10,000.

Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants
Deadline: October 14, 2022

This program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 to professional dancers in need, who have a dire financial emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences. You must demonstrate an urgent and critical need for emergency support in order to apply.

Hyperallergic’s Journalism Fellowship for Curators
Deadline: October 15, 2022

Hyperallergic, with the support of the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, offers to provide five curators with $5,000 to support their research and writing. Both established and emerging curators at least two years out of college are welcome to apply.

Squeaky Wheel Workspace Residency
Buffalo, New York
Deadline: October 15, 2022

This project-based residency program is open to artists and researchers working in media arts. Selected applicants receive $1000 in artist fees and stipends, up to $700 in financial assistance for child care and/or disability support, and up to $300 in travel support.

McMillen Foundation Grants Program
Ellensburg, Washington
Deadline: October 15, 2022

Washington state based organizations with a focus on medical research and/or social enhancement are invited to apply for this grant. The medical research program is centered on research on cardiology, lipids, and organ transplant. The social enhancement program is for organizations with an art-related mission.

Art Omi provides residencies to artists working in architecture, visual arts, dance, music, and writing. The residency includes comfortable lodgings in scenic Columbia County, and catered meals.

Women’s Studio Workshop Ora Schneider Regional Residency Grant
Rosendale, New York
Deadline: October 15, 2022

The grant is a month-long residency for artists residing in Greene, Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, and Orange counties. Priority will be given to artists with experience and a working knowledge of etching, intaglio, or monoprint; letterpress; papermaking; screenprinting; photography; or ceramics. Two artists will be provided a $1500 stipend and 24/7 studio access.

Public Art for Spatial Justice
Massachusetts

This grant supports public art that creatively cultivates expressions or embodiments of spatial justice with prizes of $15,000-$30,000. Massachusetts-based artist(s) and Massachusetts-based organizations working with artist(s) are eligible to apply.

This fellowship awards $10,000 to five mid-career artists to support research projects that advance, expand, and support the creation of new research and knowledge through craft practice.

This program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to artists in financial need who are practicing in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography.

The residency program provides artists with a secluded, natural setting to work on their creative projects of all disciplines. Wildacres Retreat is situated on just over 1200 acres near Mt. Mitchell at an elevation of 3,300 feet. Application fee: $25

The program will distribute $1,000 to New York State artists with a disability who reside outside of the five boroughs of NYC and have experienced financial hardship due to the COVID-19 crisis.

A.I.R. Fellowships Program
New York, New York

This program supports underrepresented and emerging women and non-binary artists in New York City. A.I.R. provides fellows with sponsored membership with A.I.R. Gallery for one year, professional development opportunities, a solo exhibition, an artist-mentor, and a stipend at the end of the program.

This fellowship is for emerging and distinguished writers who have published at least one book with a trade or literary press. The fellowship includes a stipend of $20,000, free housing, a semester-long letter of appointment, and more.

This fellowship, at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, is open to scholars, artists, curators, and writers with projects that study overlooked aspects of works and movements related to pioneering fiber artist Lenore G. Tawney. Selected artists receive a $30,000 stipend plus up to $10,000 to support travel, accommodation, research materials, and translation.

Amant invites artists from around the world with experimental practices in visual arts, cultural theory, performance, filmmaking, and writing to apply to their research-oriented residencies in Brooklyn. Their studios are housed in an historic building, located in the foothills of the Hudson Valley’s Shawangunk Mountains.

This residency supports artists in Northern California who are in their early to mid-career stage with free studio space and up-to-date equipment to create new work in the time-based arts such as theater, performance, dance, movement, music, sound art, instrument invention, as well as collaborative and interdisciplinary work. Artists also receive a stipend of up to $1,500.
