New York Workshops to Help You Better Communicate About Your Art Practice

Do you find that conveying a message through your work is easier than communicating about your work? We have two upcoming New York workshops at our Downtown Manhattan office that will help you communicate about your practice, whether it’s through the web, through social media, or in person.

Building and Engaging Digital Presence
Led by Matthew Deleget
Tuesday, Oct 16, 6:00-9:00PM ET
Could your website use an update? Are you not sure how to build an audience through social media? Matthew Deleget leads our digital communications workshop. As an artist and gallerist himself, he’s learned effective strategies for building an audience with digital tools. He’ll also conduct website critiques with participants.

Verbal Communications
Led by James Scruggs and Eve Mosher
Wednesday, Nov 14, 6:00-9:00PM ET
First impressions are key in the art world. Sometimes you only have a few seconds to explain your art practice. James Scruggs and Eve Mosher lead our interpersonal communications workshop with tips, discussion, and role playing so that you can communicate confidently with the people who matter. They will also discuss how to talk about sensitive topics for artists working on projects of social justice, or a political nature.
