This residency based in Turkey invites artists to make work and research on the theme of identity. The residency comes with free living and working space plus free meals.

Brooklyn, New York

Brooklyn-affiliated visual artists looking to make a significant commitment to their practice should apply for BRIC’s summer residency. The program provides studio space at BRIC House, access to their satellite spaces in Downtown Brooklyn, a stipend, and studio visits with curatorial staff.

The IDA Enterprise Documentary Fund provides production funds of up to $100,000 to feature-length documentaries exploring original, contemporary stories that integrate journalistic practice.

Vera List Center

The Vera List Center will support two Fellows whose work advances the discourse on art and politics. It comes with a $10,000 stipend and the chance to collaborate with students and faculty in the Center’s interdisciplinary public programs.

Indie Memphis Black Filmmaker Residency for Screenwriting
Memphis, Tennessee
Deadline: April 4, 2018
This residency for screenwriting offers a two-month residency in Memphis, TN for an emerging or established black filmmaker to work on a feature film screenplay to be produced in Memphis. Located in the heart of Memphis, TN, the program will provide one screenwriter with $7,500 of unrestricted cash, plus housing and round-trip travel accommodations and, most importantly, uninterrupted time for writing their feature film screenplay.

Eyebeam Open Call

The Eyebeam Residency is an award for artists engaged with technology and tehnologists working in the arts. This year they are looking for artists making work that explores the concept of access. A stipend of up to $25,000 is offered to all residents.

Black Earth Institute Fellowship
Black Earth, Wisconsin

Committed to bringing together people who are activists reforging the links between spirit, earth, and society, Black Earth Institute is looking for people who work in literarature, drama, performance or media arts, and journalists. Their fellowship comes with a $1,000 stipend, an annual intensive retreat including lodging and travel support, and more!

Groundwork Digital Residency for Isolated Artists

Groundwork has developed a way of connecting isolated artists to resources through their online research residency. Curators will schedule weekly video calls with the goal of connecting other artists, creating a network of support and collaboration, and providing helpful feedback.

MAD is looking for artists and designers to participate in their six-month residency with access to the studio, workshop and materials, professional development opportunities, and more. The residents receive a daily honorarium of $125.

Philadelphia Photo Arts Center Residency
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Deadline: April 22, 2018
This residency is perfect for artists who are producing work and want access to high-end facilities and technical assistance. Residents receive a $3,000 honorarium, $1,500 in ink usage fees and paper in their Artist Lab, and a $1,000 travel or housing stipend if necessary.

Art in Odd Places invites proposals for its public art and performance festival taking place from Avenue C to the Hudson River along 14th st in Manhattan and accompanying coinciding group exhibition at Westbeth Gallery. Women, female identifying and non-binary artists are invited to submit their projects.

The Shed is an arts center designed to commission, produce, and present all types of arts, and will open in spring of 2019. Their open call supports emerging artists with interdisciplinary projects. Artists will receive a commissioning fee of $7,000 – $15,000 to support the creation of their work.

Sugar Hill Museum is looking for a visual artist for their 11-month residency. The selected artist will be granted a non-living studio, $7,000 honorarium, and the possibility of earning additional income by leading workshops with museum patrons.
