Chilkoot Trail Artist Residency 
Skagway, AK
Deadline: February 1, 2017
Together, the Yukon Arts Centre, Parks Canada and the U.S. National Park Service are providing an opportunity for established visual artists to pursue their work amidst history and nature on the Chilkoot Trail. Artists will hike the entire trail during a two week backpacking trip, spending one to three days at each campsite. Artists will also receive up to $100 USD support from Skagway Arts Council in purchasing necessary art supplies and a $1,000 CAD honorarium from the Yukon Arts Centre. This residency is open to Canadian and American visual artists for 2017.
Zuckerman Museum of Art Emerging Curators Initiative
Kennesaw, GA

The Zuckerman Museum of Art announces its annual call for exhibition proposals from emerging curators in the field of contemporary art. The Emerging Curator(s) will receive a $1,500 fee and an exhibition budget of $7,500 for the 2016-2018 cycle, and will work with the ZMA’s staff of museum professionals to stage an exhibition or project in the ZMA’s galleries no less than 12 months and no more than 24 months from the date of notification.
Santa Fe Art Institute Sponsored Equal Justice Residency
Santa Fe, NM

SFAI offers living and working space for one to three months in a beautiful, Ricardo Legorreta-designed building in Santa Fe. Each residency includes a fully furnished, private apartment and bath, communal kitchen, dining, and living room areas, laundry facilities, gallery / installation / event space, access to outdoor spaces and interior courtyards, a contemporary art library, basic foodstuffs, and bicycle access. SFAI subsidizes all the above at no cost to residents as part of their commitment to supporting individuals dedicated to positive social change through creativity.
School of Visual Arts NYC Artist-In-Residence
New York, NY

MFA Art Practice at the School of Visual Arts invites emerging and mid-career artists working in all disciplines to apply for the inaugural Art Practice Artist-in-Residence program. One artist will be selected to be the Artist-in-Residence for the duration of the Art Practice program’s summer semester. The residency period will be June 12 – August 4, 2017. The Artist-in-Residence will receive a studio, access to the facilities, including the Metal Shop, Wood Shop, Digital Sculpture Center, Digital Editing Lab, Fibers Lab, Ceramics Lab and Nature and Technology Lab, and a $2500 stipend.
Harpo Foundation Native American Residency Fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center
Johnson, VT

The Fellowship program was established to support the development of visual artists and the potential for intercultural dialogue. Each year, the Foundation awards two residency fellowships to Native American visual artists at the Vermont Studio Center. Each Fellow receives a one-month residency, which includes room and board, a private studio, and a $500 travel stipend.
Boston Center for the Arts Artist Residency
Boston, MA

Boston Center for the Arts is accepting applications for two Visual Artist Residencies and one Public Art Residency for the 2017–2018 year. These process-oriented residencies allow the artist residents to experiment with their craft, develop new ideas and engage with the community in the Artist Studios Building and the South End arts community. Selected artists are awarded studio space in the Artist Studios Building for use during their residency, financial support and the support of BCA staff.
Residency 108 Spring Session
Clermont, NY

Residency 108 invites emerging and established artists, writers and thinkers of all disciplines to immerse themselves in their creative practice. Two four-week-long residencies are offered each year, one during the month of October and one in May. The program accommodates three artists at a time. Each resident is provided with a room, working facilities and a weekly stipend for food; participants are responsible for cooking their own meals. Each resident will be asked to present their work during the residency and weekly critiques are held as a group, sometimes with a visiting critic.
Hamiltonian Art Fellowship Program
Washington, DC

The Hamiltonian Artists Fellowship program serves as a stepping stone for emerging visual artists who have finished their academic training and are looking to transition into a professional art career. Through a comprehensive suite of professional exhibition opportunities and hands-on, skill-building trainings, all Hamiltonian Fellows gain valuable insight into the contemporary art market, while learning how to manage and promote their career. Through gallery exhibitions and art fairs, they enjoy heightened visibility and actively grow their professional networks over the course of the two-year program.
John Doe Artist in Residence
Brooklyn, NY

John Doe seeks to realize, and in realizing engender, experimental artistic visions. As part of the continuing production and presentation process, the John Doe residency provides artists with a studio term culminating in a solo exhibition. Residents will be provided with a 250 sqft studio space located in the gallery’s annex, equipped with all necessary communal facilities and high speed internet. Access to the studio will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and residents are expected to be on site at least 4 days a week during the residency period. Artists of all disciplines and nationalities are eligible to apply.
