Futurefarmers Local Landscape Campus (L.L.C.)

Description

Local Landscape Campus (L.L.C.) is an umbrella title for a series of exhibitions, public programs and excursions that have at their core cross-disciplinary research with a focus on how humans create, interact with and impact the world we inhabit. The title embodies the dynamic of the form it takes, while extending meaning in its abbreviated form, L.L.C., to the idea of liability. Each project is related in concept and in practice, in that, they use the local landscape as lens through which to look at the destabilizing effects of globalization. L.L.C. embodies several components. It is a way to conceptually frame a lineage of work–a body of work as a set of evolving tools that can transform the way we perceive, conceive, and initiate change in the places we live. The three words used in the title point to some of the issues and questions addressed in the project.
