Joe Goode Gender Heroes

Description

Gender Heroes is an interdisciplinary work combining choreographer and dancer Joe Goode’s fascination with complex narratives, linked vignettes and physical, emotional and intellectual juxtapositions. A major component of this work concerns Harry Hay, a founder of the Mattachine Society, a pre-Stonewall gay liberation organization that was formed in 1951, the same year Goode was born.
