OBSERVER TRAVEL SUBSIDY
PDP has a small amount of funding to help subsidize the travel of a limited number of potential partner organizations to observe one of our workshops.
Past partners have reported that seeing a workshop first-hand helped them better understand what we offer and how it can impact their community of artists. Seeing a workshop also enables new partners to talk about the PDP program in an informed way and promote it to local funding sources, potential participants and media outlets.
Potential partner organizations observe as PDP workshops as guests and will receive all workshop materials. Travel and lodging costs are usually the responsibility of the organization, but the Observer Travel Subsidy defrays those costs.
To be considered for up to $500 in travel funds to partially offset travel and hotel costs related to observing a workshop, please email krista [at] creative-capital [dot] org, briefly describing the following:
• Your organization
• Which workshop you are interested in observing/potentially hosting (i.e. Core, Internet for Artists, etc.)
• The date and location of the workshop that you would like to attend, if known
• Brief statement of why you would like to observe a workshop
• The community of artists you wish to reach with the workshop that you are considering hosting
• Your estimated travel costs
Travel subsidies are awarded on a case-by-case basis for a limited time. Please see our online workshop calendar for a list of upcoming PDP workshops that you might observe.
