Katie Pearl

Katie Pearl makes site-specific performance and develops new plays for the theater with playwrights and artists around the country. With long-term collaborator Lisa D’Amour (PearlDamour), Pearl has directed or performed 15 projects including: Nita & Zita (OBIE award 2003), Slabber, Bird Eye Blue Print, The Cataract and Anna Bella Eema. The most recent PearlDamour show, TERRIBLE THINGS, was recently presented by PS122 in NYC. Other current collaborations include projects with Kirk Lynn (Rude Mechs of Austin, TX) and Ellen Maddow (Talking Band of NYC). Pearl is working with fellow Creative Capital grantee Kristina Wong on the development of two new projects, CAT LADY and CARLESS: The Wong Chronicles. Pearl lives and works in Austin and NYC.
