Ina Archer was born in Paris, France. She attended The Rhode Island School of Design, received her graduate degree in Cinema Studies from New York University and later participated in the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. She is an advocate for film preservation, and she is particularly interested in innovative early sound cinema and musical comedies. Archer’s single and multi-channel videos have been shown in venues such as The Studio Museum in Harlem, The List Visual Arts Center @ MIT, White Columns, The NY Expo of Short Films and Spelman College Museum of Fine Art in Atlanta, Georgia. Archer lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
