Banker White is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker in the Bay Area. White is director and producer, director of photography and editor of the documentary Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars, which won the Best Documentary Feature Award at the AFI Festival and at the Human Rights Watch Film Festival, as well as an audience award at the Miami International Film Festival. He has received a Work in Progress grant from the Sundance Institute Documentary Fund, a Pacific Pioneer Fund grant and a New Lambda Fund grant, among other awards. He recently helped start the Kokrobitey Institute, a learning center in Ghana.
