Suzanne Lacy has been creating installations, public art projects, and performances since 1972. Her work has been presented and exhibited widely at such spaces as The Kitchen, The Whitney Museum, and MoMA in New York; The University of California at Berkeley; and The Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art. Internationally she has shown her work in London; Tokyo; Medellin, Columbia; and Joensuu, Finland. Her grants and awards include a 2001 California Arts Council fellowship, successive grants from the Nathan Cummings Foundation, and a Lila Wallace-Reader’s Digest International Fellowship.
A monograph on Lacy, written by Sharon Irish and entitled Suzanne Lacy: Spaces Between, is published by University of Minnesota Press
