2008 Film/Video

Film/Video includes experimental, documentary and narrative film and video, animation, installations, and interdisciplinary projects.

In March 2007, we received 1,178 letters of inquiry through our open call for submissions. During the eight-month, three-step review process, 319 of the submissions advanced to the application phase, of which 134 were chosen for a final panel round. Twenty one Film/Video projects representing 12 cities throughout the US were then selected for funding and announced in January 2008.

2008 Visual Arts

Visual Arts includes painting, sculpture, works on paper, installation, photography, contemporary crafts, interdisciplinary projects and public arts.

In March 2007, we received 1,375 letters of inquiry through our open call for submissions. During the eight-month, three-step review process, 336 of the submissions advanced to the application phase, of which 123 were chosen for a final panel round. Twenty Visual Arts projects representing 11 cities throughout the US were then selected for funding and announced in January 2008.
